Arrow Home made, works great

I don't like my Ipod out on the ends of the handlebars. I made this one for about $ 20.00 in parts from RadioShack. I can rotate it up or down for better viewing. Also the whole unit pulls off the bars quickly and will stash in one of the gloveboxes.

2whlr4life... That is exactly what I want. Do you have any list of the parts you used? Especially the bar mount part. Thanks!

Arrow

pm'ed you.

I don't like looking out at the ends of the handlebars (eyeballs off the road). Mine being black is kind of stealthy where I mount it. I'll toss my gloves on top of it to hide it If I run into a convienience store.

I like that setup. I just need something to mount my iPhone to. Mostly so I can use the GPS features when I am at a stop light or quick pullover.

Arrow Home made Ipod mount

Here are a couple more pictures to those interested. The RadioShack part # for the project box is 270-1802 ($2.99). As the pictures show, I'm actually using just the cover from the box. I don't have a part # for the microphone stand clip, but it fits on my stock bars perfectly and won't scratch them. All the other parts came from coffee cans on my workbench. I used a short mount from the Microphone clip to the threaded collar on the back of the Ipod mount (1"), but different length extensions are available, inexpensively. Hope this helps. I knew there were other value conscious (cheap) tinkerers here.

that gauge package is so nice looking, sure seems like such a shame to mess it up with a coiled cable going up into the aux jack.....
