Default Problem installing Biktronics BT 1005 module...no 12VDC unswitched out from module

I know...I know I will call them in the morning but I just wanted to know if anyone has had the same issue. Has anyone had warranty problems with Biketronics with this type of issue?

I am installing this in my '08 Electraglide standard with an Alpine CDA-9855 head unit. I disconnected everything as directed in the instructions and soldered all wires. I installed the two 15A fuses in my fuse box for the radio. Power is coming from the fuses. I set the module to "3" as directed on the website. I have no 12V DC out from the module to the radio. I have 12VDC switched (red) but no hot 12VDC at the yellow wire into the head unit. The same is getting to the module on the orange/blue wire at the plug.

Thanks for any help you all can provide!

Dr. I know this sounds like a crazy question but did you throw a meter on the wires to measure voltage before you wrapped it up? I installed that same alpine unit on my bike.

Yes. When I first installed the system all the fuses were out. after putting it all together I installed the two fuses and 12VDC switched and unswitched is getting to the module. The radio does work as I jumpered the switched voltage coming out of the module to the unswitched and system powered up. Plus the handlebar switches do not work either.

One question concerning the Alpine CDA-9855....how do you adjust the EQ curves. I get into the EQ section but the book says to press the "band" button to select each frequency, mine does not do anything. Any idea? PM if you can provide any insight!

Thanks!

To be honest doc. I'm young so I just started pressing buttons untill I got what I was looking for. One thing to remember is that you can change the "frequency" as well as you average bass treble controls. I have mine turned up to about 120hz. But like I said, it only came with fooling with it for a while.
