Does anyone know where I can get paint that matches chrome? I have a piece of plastic that I would like to get as "chrome" as possible.

Any auto parts store has "Chrome paint" but it is just real shiny aluminum paint.

 

I did see one of the chrome outfits on the web that claim to be able to chrome plastic. Not sure how they do it but it my be worth a try. Must be some way to do it. Otherwise how do they make those chrome lookin hubcaps and such....

 

Chrome Paint = No such animal.

It may say chrome on the can, and the cap might look just like the chrome you have in mind, but when you spray it - it will be nothing more than a super fine metallic silver paint!!!

 

I need a very small amount. I tried chrome model paint, but it was grey at best. It is for the little black cap on the left hand controls on the Road King.

 

Yep, silver in a spray can. Used to be called "Kentucky chrome".

 

Pardon the connotation but we call it "Mexican Chrome" here.

 

Thought it was Oaky chrome?
