Default Happy with your Soft Lowers?

I'll ride down to about 35 degrees during the winter months. When its below 50 degress, I wear thermal-lined jeans and use a set of those $15 elastic pant leg straps to help keep the cold air from going up my legs. Keeping the upper body warm isn't to hard.

I've heard that lowers on a bagger make a huge difference in terms of not freezing your goodies off on cold days. Unfortunately, I really don't like the idea of adding hard lowers to my RGC. Since HD offers soft lowers for $50, I thought about picking up a set for next winter. I find the 3 minute install/deinstall appealing. For those who use soft lowers, are you happy with them?

Soft lowers are better than no lowers. They are great to have if you don't run the hard lowers. They are great to keep in the saddlebags for that unexpected shower. Keep an eye on the temps, they say over 50 or 55 not to run them.

I have a set of the Harley soft lowers. They work great on those really cold days. The best part is that when it warms up you can take them off and it doesn't ruin the looks of your bike.

I love mine! I rode with them this winter in Belgium during the wind, snow, and rain. The best part for me is they keep all the rain from hitting my feet and legs. The soft lowers were one of the best purchases for my bike.

I like em! Ran em on my RK when cold/wet.

On the Ultra I pulled the hard lowers off the day I bought it. Used the soft lowers when it got cold.

The guys I've talked to like them for cold weather & don't run them in warm weather. They just snap off & put them in saddle bags. They also help with wind issues.

I have had a set of Airlite engine guard chaps for 2yrs now and I would not ride in the winter without them. I paid $85 for them and they are worth it. The way these are designed and with the mesh in the center, they funnel the cold air through the center, onto the engine and around to my feet and legs. I can put them on in less them 5min. and they roll up in a small pouch. My feet actually get hot if I used them over 45 degrees, but in the cold on long trips, they keep my feet and legs warm. Here are a few pics to look at.

I have the HD canvas ones and I love them. They keep my feet dry in the rain and do cut the wind on those colder days/evenings. Well worth the money.

Yeah I like them.I bought the HD set early last year and they are great for riding in the rain, they keep your feet and shins a lot dryer and less wind buffeting, and they are so easy and quick to put on and take off.

Can anyone tell me why to remove if over 55 deg., when you look at them they scope air and move it towards the engine. Would they not cause more air to travel across the engine area? I use mine all the time and am very pleased with them. Mark
