Hey guys, I have a question.
I just installed the T-Bag windshield bags on my 2010 Street Glide. My question is after I installed it I noticed that the fairing cap does not completely seal on to the fairing weatherstrip. There is a little gap.Water can and will deff get in this gap.If I leave this gap will water do damage? Is this fairing 100% water proof to begin with? I would think water can get in from the windshield anyway.I also see the directions for the T-Bags say for use with 4 or 6in windshields, I have a 12 in on with them.I wonder if the 12 in is thicker plastic and this is what is creating this gap. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
2. the tbag can scuff the top of your inner fairing.
i use sticky back "loop" velcro trimmed to contour on top of the dash- if i ever take it off the adhesive is easy to remove ( lighter fluid) scuff marks are forever.
TimBone, thanks for the response. I went to Home Depot looking for somthing like that but couldnt find anything. What kind do you recomend and where do I get it?Thanks
I just installed one a week ago and I never looked at the gap ? I figured it was gonna scuff up my painted inner also but I would also bet that where its gonna get scuffed I will never see it !

Exactly what I did, except hit Lowes.
I used the Marine and Automotive Weatherstripping.
1/4" thick, 1" wide, 10 feet in the package.
not expensive at all.
Hope that helps.
Each time now when I remove the fairing outer(couple times a year), I do a quick inspection
and see if I need to replace. So far, working great going on almost 3 years.
