I ordered a 17" clear shield from Clearview last year for my 2009 RKC. It's so much thicker and more durable than the standard HD shield, that it makes the OEM seem like a toy by comparison. You can't go wrong with their products.

If you really want to be cheap, just cut it down. Its just plastic (lexan or whaterver, it all cuts the same). It should be really easy if you just follow the existing edge to mark. I plan on doing mine as soon. There are some threads on this subject as well. If you do goof up, what's it going to cost? The new windshield that you were going to buy anyway?
