Default Driver backrest w/short legs? Options?

Here's a bit of a weird problem, but I hope I'm not the only one to have it. I'm built a bit like an ape - 6' 1", 250#, with a 37" sleeve and a 30" inseam, and I'm not the most flexible individual you're likely to meet. As a result, I cannot seem to find a backrest that I can get my leg to clear comfortably. My old BMW R1200 had a backrest that I could lower while I got on, then I could reach back and raise it once seated. Does anybody make a similar set-up for a 2009 SG? I have Chubby 575's and a Badlander seat now, and the bike fits me well, but on longer trips I'd like to have a backrest (but I'd also like to be able to get on and off the bike with a minimum of physical comedy).

Any ideas? Thanks.

When I installed my Streetglide backrest I stopped swinging my short azzz 27" legs over it. I just shoot my leg straight over the seat!

Not on an '09 SG but I believe my bike and backrest are close enough to matter. I've got the HD Rider Backrest (#52900-09A) on my '08 FLHT and we love it. It folds forward when you swing your leg over and has a spring to right it. It has a buttonhead capscrew to adjust the backrest forward/backward to the rider's preference. There is a small grommet in the cover that allows you to access the capscrew to adjust it with an allen wrench. All three in my family ride my FLHT and the inseams are 28", 30", and 32". I also have a Reach seat that my son and wife prefer as it helps them flat foot the FLHT with stock suspension.
The backrest mount is super easy install even if you're not mechanically inclined. Once the mount is installed you can remove and install the backrest in seconds through the slotted factory seats.

Stand on the right side floorboard & hold the handlebars & swing your left leg over or in front of backrest.

The best to what you are describing is the Mustang backrest. It will lay flat while you are getting on.
The HD backrests will bend forward also, but not flat like the Mustang.

The Mustang will work with any HD seat that has the slot in it betwen the front and rear sections.
They will of course work with certain Mustang seats.
