I'm going to try a colder sparkplug. I hear the stock map is set to run as if the bike has a 14.3 to 1 compression ratio. That is pretty lean. I don't have the cash to add a power commander, breather and map right now.
You mean 14.3:1 AFR? Yes, it's lean, but I THINK the stock ECM is more like 14.7:1.
What a deal, pay $25,000+ for a scooter, and have to go out and get a $300 part to make it run right. Is the MOCO trying to push customers away??
I 'm with you on this one. I don't mean this to be smart *** comment or a slam on HD( I really am curious) but why is it that Victory,Yamaha Road Stars and a few others can make a bike that doesn't cook itself and has good power and meets EPA without having to do anything to it. I guess it has to do with the basic engine design of one over the other.I know most people like to play around with their bikes anyway but thats besides the point..you shouldn't have to.
