That sucks, I can only imagine how I would feel. I'm in the process of selling my house in Vermont and moving to Florida, and this makes me even more glad that I have my own trailer to transport the bike in. As far as I'm concerned if you didnt kill the movers you really restrained yourself!
Them's fight'n words - terrible situation for you & the scoot. Always hated the moves when I was still in military. Something always gets damaged, but yours takes the cake. Let us know how things go & gotta believe they'll get it right. Be persistant & call your insurance in too...for a 2nd opinion.
Can understand your sickness. I dont think I would expect any frame damage fro a four four foot fall. They they are pretty beefy and the plarts of the bike add to the strength of it. Good luck in Tn.
My company is relocating me to Denver in June and this is why I am riding my bike there. I would have flipped out.
I would have rdidden the bikes up if I didnt have two cars to bring up. The relo company would only do the bikes unless I paid extra for the cars. In hind site you are right, I should have riden them or rented a bike trailer and pulled them myself.
Hey guys thatnks for all the support, didnt sleep well last night, but today is another day. Stayed in a hotel neer the house and now getting ready for the 4 our trip to Nashville. The relo company sent me an email last night and gauranteed they would make it right so I will keep the email just in case. The moving company shows up at our new house sometime tomorrow, so I will be able to do a once over and note all the damage better with a cooler head and find every last scratch or dent to be fixed. Also thanks to all for the advice on the HD dealers up there.
. It can be fixed but still, this was my baby that I spent many hours making it my own. No matter what it will never be the same. Just Damn!!
I guess my question would be is why did you trust "your baby" w/a moving company? I wouldn't have...Moving companies are notorious for hiring strong backed-weak minded individuals. At the very least you should have supervised the moving of your bike or did it yourself.
