I just had my fairing off..installed a pair of JM speaker upgrades. What I was wondering is. Are the 2 bottom bolts on the fairing a differant size. One of mine is, and the one that, FELL OUT, was the same as the top one. What, the guy in the shop just rammed one of those in there 'cause he lost the original? There the only ones been in it. Jeeze! Thats what you get for 70 bones an hr.
The speakers sound good. My wifes stock SG sitting next to it sounds about the same in the garage. Won't know till I get it out on the road I suppose. I think my stock ones were toast, and my wifes are still ok. Has to do with my HUH? factor. They do have a little CRHOME tweeter on the outside. How cool is that?lol[8D] Am sending a flick of a Texas run we made in July. Don't know if it will work. Later BEAST
All 4 fairing bolts are the same. I use a 1 longer bolt on the bottom cause it's easier to get started than the stock bolt...it's from the handlebar switchgear!
Four bolts? Mine has five. It is the ones down by the forks I;m talking about. One was silver and it tighten up just fine..but the one that fell outta the other side won't tighten just turns in the hole. I'll have to go out and take the one out and see iff it will work in that hole. COLD OUT in that garage.
Got it. They had the bolt running alongside the hole capstan. So did I . DUH. It was also bogered. Ran a tap in it and got it moved over and all is good. [8D]
