Love that chrome front end . Do you have a link for EBAY on those lowers ?
The seller is flstclassic. Here's a link to his feedback page...from there you can probably find a listing for his sliders.
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAP...id=flstclassic

His feedback is 100% and seems to be well deserved. Of the first pair he sent me, one was scratched up (I think due to shipping). When I told him about it via Email, he responded within an hour and offered me every option. 1) Cancel the deal, full refund. 2) Replace the scratched one. 3) Send me a new pair. I asked him to send me a replacement piece which he did on the very next shipping day. So...even though there was an issue--which I believe was due to shipping--he fixed it as fast as he possibly could which is all I've ever asked of my vendors.

Overall, I'm very happy with them.

Good job; looks great. I've had the forks off once, and it's that job that keeps me from going with the chrome sliders on my bike.

Uncle Peepers
Now that I've done it, and I have the right tools, I don't think I'd have any real heartburn doing it again. Of course, because it's an RK Custom, I don't have a big fairing to deal with, just the nacelle. The good news is that I know that front end inside and out now, so I can replace the seals or fork oil without shelling out the cash to the dealer. I also know the job is done right.

During re-assembly right after I put one of the caps back on (difficult because it's under spring pressure) I couldn't remember with 100% conviction that I put the spring in the right way with the tighter coils at the bottom. So, I took the cap back off and I'm glad I did because I had the spring in upside down. Just one of those things that makes me glad I did it, because I don't know that anybody else would have taken that extra step if they were in doubt about something.

Anyway, this is definitely a cosmetic upgrade, but it really does look much better IMHO.

Really looks great - just changed mine out also - mine was the right side that the allen bolt would not come out on, even went out and bought an air ratchet (good excuse) but no deal. impact driver did the trick.
Ya, I didn't have an impact wrench either and my air ratchet didn't budge it. I got an Air Tool kit from Harbor Freight for $49. It had an Impact gun, Rachet (now I have 2), Air Chisel, Die Grinder, 10 impact sockets, 3 chisels, air fittings, and a couple of grinding stones. The impact gun made short work of it.

I went with the full front end chrome kit from Harley (Zanottis) - which by the way includes everything.... except the replacement allen screws that they tell you in the directions you need to replace - so off to the dealer - right side one was pretty messed up by the time I got it out.

Anyway - bike looks great - looking formward to final pictures with the new tins
I'm looking forward to getting the tins back. My poor RK was looking like a date rape victim for a while there with the tins off and front end torn apart. At least with the front end back together, it just looks like a rat bike now.

Only thing I would add while its still down is you might want to stop by the dealer and get the chrome front wheel spacers - what with everything else done - not a big deal but its the details that make it

once again very nice and it is great when you do it yourself

I also picked up some chrome spacers for the front wheel, but I'm not putting them on until my tins come back from paint.
Yup, with you on that. I have them, but since the wheel has to come off again when the tins come back, I figured I'd leave them wrapped up until it's ready for final assembly.
