I installed the Vance & Hines Throttle Pak last week and took the bike out today for the first time since November. The pick up is a lot better as far as I can tell. I should have rode the bike first without the Pak and then installed it and made a comparison. Like I said, the pick up off the line is a lot better and the lag that was there before (I think!) is no more. The product is getting good reviews in Daytona from riders that had it installed there. Is it snake oil, not sure but in my mind it seems to have helped the drive ability of the bike so it was worth the $189.
Installed mine today and that was after a long ride and it made a world of difference and it was well worth the money. Vance and Hines have a hit with this one.
HDV:
As you know from another thread I was pleased with the results as well. I have had an opportunity to put on about 300 miles since the install (gotta love Florida) and the real reward is when the bike is loaded and 2-up. No more "twist and pray" when travelling on the interstate.
I just installed it on my 09 FLHTC. Stock motor, V&H 2-1 Pro Pipe, PC-V, K&N. Took 15 minutes to install, remove the air cleaner, plug in, secure with supplied velcro & zip ties, done. I took it for a short ride, noticeable difference. If you gas it instant response, it jumps. When you twist it slowly or normal crusing no difference I can tell. Works just like they say. I like it.
