I think revolution performance does it for around $200. Then you have to buy bearings if you want to upgrade and gaskets ect. Its cheap compared to fixing the problem after it happens but its a PITA to tear down a new engine to get it done.

Just got back from the Dealership Saturday with the 2011 P&A book. In the Screaming Eagle section they're selling a Timken tapered "lefty" bearing, the sleeve it goes in and the bearing tool to install it.

" for increased load capacity and durability."

It's for 2003 and later Twin Cams, ( the year they took it out when they cheapened the crank.)
So 2003 and later owners get to go put back in their motors what came STOCK in my 2000 ( and all '99 to '02 models,) in order to have a decent crank.

They oughta' at least apologize or something.....

I'll keep mine, ( just turn 85,000 on the way home. )

This recurring issue with crank run-outs should be considered by all when wanting to do engine upgrades. This is but one reason I did not want the 103" engine when I bought my RKC. Many here feel they can go up to 107" and not do anything with the crank. Pushing the limits of these engines with more TQ / HP on stock cranks in just asking for trouble in my opinion.

The Motor Company policy, Dont fix anything drive line related unless you plan on
losing your coup money or end of year reach back.If you work at a dealer you know what I mean. I just had a dealer explain this to me.

It has something to do with total dollars of warranty work each year. I dont think he ment to tell me that much. It was a pretty heated convesation over warranty work.

They do have a deal where they will straighten and weld a crank for $200, or a least they did at one time. I sent them the whole crankcase with the crank still in it. They disassembled it, pulled the crank apart, line bored the rods, installed a new pin, straightened it, welded it, balanced it, installed timkens, and put it back in the cases. I now have .0015 runout. They shoot for .001 or less, but sometimes they can't get it there. Cost about $1400.

This sounds familiar....Sort of like, most people who complained about the wind buffeting on new Street Glides, went out and bought the $25 front fork air baffle/deflector for their bikes; only to find out it came standard on 2000 FLH's. The MoCo's way of saying " welcome to the Accessories Dept, here is your catalogue."
