Default Tour-pak removal

Hi guys I am new to the forum. I have a question I hope someone can answer. I have an 07 Ultra Classic. As many people want to and some have, I want to remove the tour pak when I am riding around town. My question is do I have to have the quick release kit. Can I just unbolt it and take it off? I had a 96 Electra Glide Standard for many years and thats what I did with it. It did not have rear speakers so that was not a problem. My local dealer tells me all of the rear wires will just unplug??
Anyone know??
Thanks Eddie

Yes there are plugs that just unplug !!! for speakers and wiring !!
Also you will have to unplug CB and Radio antennas , then just tuck them under the seat!!

Both radio and CB antennas should unscrew from the tour pak and re-connect to lower mounts, just unscrew the cables first (one on each side of the fender) and screw the antennas on. I deleted the CB connection and stowed the wire beneath the seat, I don't use it. You can buy a knurled thumb screw for your rear seat mount and get rid of the o.e.m. screw, it eliminates the need for a wrench/screwdriver. I also use a short radio antenna, you can get one from the dealership. That's what I did anyway...good luck.

I bought a 2010 C.V.O. Street Glide seat. I love it. It is very comfortable. I think there were some issues with fitment when they first came out but, the current issue is great. My stock seat is a p.o.s. and is going to "mean city" for an upgrade.

I done it on my Ultra with HD removal kit. I just unplugged wires (speakers and antenna), change saddle (wires under) and i've got a new bike.
Do it, you won't regret it because you are going to have two bikes in one

I bought a street glide off Ebay for a reasonable price, it looks much better with the tour pack removed, however, you need an iron butt because the darn thing aint very comfortable.
