Cool Harley "extended" TBW part number

Folks,

I'm getting ready to swap out my stockers for a set of 14" HCC apes.

I've been studying all the comments I can find on the subject, and done more searches than I can recall.

I've seen plenty of references to the "extended" TBW from harley, that doesn't have the green clip.

Does anyone know what the Part Number for that puppy is? I've searched a few times and can't seem to find it.

Now, this will probably get some of you rolling.... I was at the stealer today, described the part as best I could. The guy came out with a TBW kit. I looked at it and said yea, this is it. Parts guys said it was made to fit 16" bars, and then he dives into the HD policy about returning electrical parts, and that if you try to install and it's not the correct part, too bad, it's yours. So I begged off until I could be sure......

I was probably looking at exactly what I needed, wasn't I!?

Anyway, if anyone knows the part number and could let me know I'd be grateful....

Thanks

You can go two ways. The HD way p/n 32310-08 or this way.

Thanks Mass,

I appreciate the help. Did you use the JV set up? I see it has the dreaded green connector everyone despises. Also looking at it, it seems that it's literally a Plug-n-Play unit no soldering or extracting pins? Am I seeing that correctly?

thanks

If you are planing to use the heated grip wires on the CVO p/n 32310-08 you will have to extend the wires, they will not make it thru the bars, the other wires make it out of 14" bars by just a few inches. On the stock sensor all wires are the same length but you have the green clip to contend with, but they seem to be a little longer than the CVO wires.

I did 13" Cyclesmith's on my old SG. I used the one piece HD and got my extended cable and abs line from JV. Really good to deal with and will not over sell you stuff you don't need.

This one doesnt have the green connector but it does have the heated grip plug that can either be removed or made longer. This is what the CVO bikes have. Wires are plenty long for ape hangers.

Hey Jimbo I have a brand new still in the box 32310-08 TBW sensor that I just purchased to install cycle smith 13's on my 08 EGC that I did not use, there is plenty of wire for the TBW if you just take the pins out of the connector under the faring and pull the sensor out of the handlebars, put some electrical tape on the dreaded green connector for insurance then pull it through the new bars (I used dish soap for a lubricant). With all that being said I got 10% off on the new sensor paid about 82$ for it Ill ship it to ya (in the States) for 90$ in a priority mail flat rate box if you are interested, I also finished my install a week ago tomorrow so all of the tricks and things I wish I would have done are still fresh in my mind so feel free to ask any ???'s

jmbenson, Call me a sponge! I'm all for hearing any of the tricks you learned on your install. Like I said earlier I'm putting the HCC 14" baggers on mine. I'm not going with any heated grips (got heated gloves) so that hookup/wire is a non factor for me.

I've seen a couple threads were the guys had some issues with placing the correct wires in the correct spots on molex connector, and not having the TBW operate properly.

Some say, including instructions: Yellow sleeve Black #1 Yellow sleeve White #2 Yellow sleeve Red #3 /// Black sleeve Black #4, Black sleeve White #5, and Black sleeve Red #6...

What's your experience on this part of the install???

What did you do with the dish soap, coat the wires with it?

I thought #32310-08 didn't have the green connector?

I'm wondering if the part I was looking at yesterday was the one "aclass" mentioned #72195-94? That one did not have the green connector.

Any tips on extracting pins and re-inserting them so they are in correctly before you button everything up?

Where are you located? I'm in Michigan.

The -94 indicates the year they started making the part so I don't believe it would be a TBW part.
