Default Hard to get into neutral?

Hello all, i recently sold my fatbob and have moved into the SG family. I bought a brand new 2011 with the power pack (103") and was able to take it on a little ride today, 13 miles total, what can i say its only 24 degrees here. But anyways, it is damn hard to find neutral on the bike! I have never owned a new bike always used, is this a common thing on new bikes till it gets broken in a little bit? Sorry for the dumb question, just wondering!

Yep... get a few miles on it and it will become easier.
Also, if you happen to be near a dealer have them check the clutch cable. They adjusted mine and it made a huge difference.

Yes I'd have the dealer check it out for ya.
Also wait till after about a 1000 miles and put some Redline Trans Oil with Shockproof. It helps.

Mine was hard too ... second what everyone else said and here's another tip. I lower my toe shifter. Since I don't use "under" toe, didn't see a reason why it should be so high. After I lowered it, I noticed down shifts and neutral were much easier. I suspect since it was adjusted so high, I occasionally never fully released pressure during down shifts, etc...

The pic shows what mine is now, the red line is where I adjusted from ... it was high.

Mine is just the same, hard as h#ll. Finally 500 miles on the odometer and no better.

My 2007 was not this way. I'll have the dealer check it out at the 1K check.

I had the same problem. It'll wear in. I found that for me it was easier to find neutral with the heel peg.

10K miles and it still is tough with the toe shifter.
