Sorry to ask this question. I searched for answers but its alot of info to go through and I wasn't finding exactly what I was looking for. OK... Does anybody have a picture or diagram of all 3 drain plugs? I found the one on the left side next to the frame, 5/8" I believe. I also found the torx drain plug. I am missing one. I am thinking a motorcycle jack would help greatly. I might have to run down to fleet farm and look for one. Easier to work on and wash I would assume.
Next oil questions... I am planning on running Amsoil 20 50 in the engine oil. What should I use for transmission and primary? I was thinking of Red line shockproof? I live in MN and most of my riding is done during 40* and 100*. I usually put on a couple hundred miles a weekend. Again sorry for the million dollar question. I want to service my own bike. I haven't had good luck bringing it to the dealers. Where in the Twin Cities can I get Redline?
The Torx bolt next to the oil drain plug is a #50 torx. It is a pipe thread fitting that is removed to install a oil temperature sending unit. The guage replaces the air temp guage on the left side of the fairing. I just did the install today on my 07 ultra. griffy
got my manual for about $70 at dealer. This is one purchase that will be revenue neutral. I will be able to change my own fluids with out much stress. Just a good thing to have.
I can't believe that a manual cost $70.00, I was given one with all the used bikes I have bought in the past and I know one was bought and given to me by the dealer. WOW!!!
