Question about service intervals?
I am planning on buying a SG in the near future. Does the bike have to go to the dealer on the service intervals, to not void the warranty, or can I just do it myself as long as I document everthing? Dealer wants to much money and I would rather do it myself but don't want to void the warranty in case something big comes up.

You cannot be required to have your service work done at the dealer to keep the warranty in force unless the dealer provideit for free.
Do it yourself, but keep records and receipts.
Buy the service manual. In the front is a chart that shows the service intervals and what is to be done at those mileages.
Document the dates and mileage, keep the receipts for the oil and filters. Many guys buy the gaskets and o-rings from HD.
Document everything you do and you will be ok. BTW you will probably have a better service job than you will get from some dealers.
