The oil temp gauge is very helpful in knowing when the oil is warm enough to get after the throttle. It surprises me how long it takes to get up to 180ish.

You'd be surprised to see how many guys just start up their bikes and take off.
Gotta give that 20/50 a little time to circulate.....One more + for Synthetic.

Hey QTR, nice tuna.
Yellowfin, about 60 lbs?
Got a pic just like that with a 70 pounder.

Oil Pressure, oil temp, useful gauges. Why do you need an air temp gauge?
Yet the MOCO installs those over oil temp gauges. They're not stupid. If they put oil temp gauges on all the bikes, guys would be panicking over how hot their bikes are running.
I still run a seperate ambient air temp gauge, just to identefy the effects on oil and CHT temp.
And if they put a CHT gauge on them, folks would be utterly astounded.
