Just yesterday I almost got it in the rear from a female driver. I was making a right turn (blinkers on) and she tried to get between me and the curb. Wow - Scarry Close.
Glad you two are sort of ok. I can't imagine the instant terror that type of accident creates. I keep telling myself I will not read the "crash" posts, but there is always something to learn from these. Again, glad y'all survived.
Hope the pain is gone soon, glad to hear nothing life threatning. Take your time getting a new scoot, 12's be out soon, who knows maybe there will be a change worth waiting for as in 09 and 11.
Heal up quick and well, you and your wife. A few thoughts:
An SG, so no light bar? I rode my buddy's Sportster one time about 10 miles and had 2 people pull in front of me. Both bikes I've ever owned had bars lit ALL the time. I've never had any one pull in front of me in my 5 years of riding. Of course I don't mean it will never happen either.
I've gone from a full helmet to a 3/4 to a half over the years. Maybe I should re-think that.
