need some help with my 08 SG
First I have been resetting the ECM for a while now since the bike sometimes revs too high. Today on a ride with the wife while cruising at 60mph with the cruise on it sort of slowed down. I stop and reset the ECM and it started if but after a half mile it did the same thing all over again. It would only of to 1500 rpm somehow I got home doing 1500 rpm ( 30 mph). The bike has a stage one with a PCIII and turn duals I have 29,000 miles on it. Have any of you experienced this and what advice can you give me I want the avoid the dealer.

the dealer will instantly blame the pc,but not the first place too look.theres a whole thread on idol issuies search for it,most likley cause is iac(idol air controler)but there have been several other causes,for me it was throttle position adjuster screw,locktite melted and it moved ,that must be reset with bike hooked up to digital technition.for the iac u can try some carb cleaner,its ontop of the throttle body just behind the air filter, small hole with a round canister mounted ontop the body,or just replace it.
