Right on, I just figured since you posted a picture of it you actually wanted people to see it, but all you can see is a big black thing hanging off the side of your motor, not exactly invisible, just can't see anything in that pic. I got one too that I don't care to show off. Just curious if your quoted temps are with a factory lean tune.

I'm not trying to hide anything, I just don't have more detailed pics of it. I'll take some and post them.
No it not factory lean, but I do run 14.2:1 AFR in the cruising ranges. It just seems to work better than any other oil coolers I've tried. When you take off after sitting at a light and the temps have gone up, you can actually see the needle move as the oil cools down.

Fabrik8r this is about as much as I can show without removing the unit from the bike. Hope this satisfies your curiosity.

I have a Jagg 10 row side mount cooler on my 07 Fatboy. Keeps the temp between 200 and 220 at all times, even in Florida summer heat! No fan needed. I have free flowing pipes, and AC, and the bike has been dyno tuned. When stock, with no oil cooler it ran around 250-265 degrees in traffic. It is SO MUCH more comfortable to ride in the summer now. Used to feel like I was sitting on a wood stove....

Yes oil coolers give off heat just as the engine does with out moving. If you have a radiator in your home do you need a fan to get heat off of it. No. It RADIATES heat off of it. As the heat raises off it pulls cooler air around it.

Off course the more air flow there is the more heat is pulled off.

Adding a cooler will increase the surface area of the bike that gives off heat while standing still.

Some of you should think about what you say before you post your thoughts.

Part of the problem there is when standing still the oil flow is reduced at least 50-75%. Ya can't cool much with reduced oil flow. In the mean time the air flow is close to nothing. Seems to me that raising the air flow would be far more beneficial. If you feel a fan on the oil cooler helps the same logic works for the heads and jugs. I don't run an oil cooler or a fan. In my opinion they are a waste of money. My engine is far from stock and is just fine as it is.

The cooler an engine runs down to 160 degrees there is an increase in power output. That results in a cooler incoming charge which then has more expansion when ignited. that is how power is made.

The cheapest power gain there is from running the engine cooler.

A cooler engine runs stronger and lasts longer.

The hotter a engine gets the less power it makes. Increase the compression add high lift cams and if you don't do anything about the running temperature you are leaving some horsepower and torque on the table.

I find little use for HP and TQ when sitting in bumper to bumper traffic. On the open road my temps are usually 235-240.
