Your call, but I guarantee you if you leave your rain gear at home, you're either going to be buying rain gear, or "parking"... It always rains up there that time of year. Listen to the folks that live there. I was with my son, he was on his bike, and three other buddies last time we went to Laconia, and we were in rain for 6 straight hours through PA and NY. So if you don't mind getting wet, leave your gear at home. We had ours on, and we still got soaked to the bone.

NH motorcycle roads. Bear Notch Rd and Hurricane Mountain Rd are great rides.
VT motorcycle roads.
ME motorcycle roads. Rt113 from Fryeburg up to RT 2 Gorham is a great ride too. It goes thru Evans Notch. I do it at least once a year.

From Conway NH 302/113 East> 113 north>Rt2 west>Rt16 south to RT16/302 south to Conway again. That's a nice loop. Throw in Hurricane Mt Rd. (paved goatpath shortcut from or to North Conway to Rt. 113 ) for a thrill.

pack for everything from snow to desert heat, including monsoons.
If you do Mt Washington it can be below freezing at the top in June, and hands down it will be the scariest ride of your life. I rode my ZRX down in near zero visibility, I would not want to do it on my bagger that is 300 pounds heavier and doesn't have half the brakes of the rice bike.
Laconia, on the days it isn't raining, is the worlds largest motorcycle traffic jam and tee shirt sale. parking at the Beach is full at 9 AM.Be prepared for miles upon miles of stop & go traffic that will bake your thighs and engine oil. The only time I ever got a hot engine light on my water cooled rice bike was sitting in that traffic.
New Hampshire and Maine have the best riding in the Northeast. If you want to take advantage of it, you would do better to do it after Laconia Rain Week.
