Lots of great suggestions here. Please make sure to bring good quality rain gear with you...this is the northest after all. Don't let a little rain discourage you from some great rides. If you've never been to Laconia..plan on lots and lots of traffic around the vendor area (there's only a couple of roads in and out of town). This is the worst part IMO. There's lots of good riding into NH, ME, and VT...take advantage.

Wink

Someone mentioned earlier the train ride into the Weirs. This makes a lot of sense if you want to avoid that awful stop and go traffic. Go into Meredith and park your bike by the train station (free parking) and take the scenic train ride into the Weirs. You can walk around and see the sights there, all the t-shirt vendors...grab some food and catch the train for hopefully a dry ride back.

Go up I-93 and get on the Kancamagus (Rt 112) in Lincoln and head east. Take a left onto Bear Notch Road, and follow 'till it ends at Crawford Notch Road (Rt 302) and go left. Ride out 302 thru Crawford Notch to Rt 3 South thru Fanconia Notch. Rt 3 merges with I-93 for a few miles, but even I-93 is beautiful thru Franconia Notch. Rt 3 splits off I-93 again, and takes you back down to the Kanc/Lincoln.
