Always on. only time i turn them off is if I'm blowing up the mirrors of the car or bike in front of me, but most times I'm out front so they are always on.

Me too!
I leave mine on all the time. The Glide is as big as most of the cars around here, when I approach a car, they move out of the way. As I pass, they realize it is a motorcycle.
After reading other threads, a mention about group riding. We will all start with them off, if there is a problem that someone wants to communicate, they turn theirs on, then we pull over at the next stop.
