I have an 05 Electra Glide and I'm having a problem with the windshield rattling. With the cold weather coming on it rattles more. When its warm the fairing assembly expands and its tight. I'm afraid to tighten it too much possibly cracking the windshield. Does anyone have this problem?? Any thoughts on solving this problem??
Take a look at where the windshield and fairing meet and make sure the space is the same all along. Inside the fairing there are bushings that the windshield seats in. Take your windshield out and when you put it back in make sure it goes around the bushings and not on them. It's a little hard to explain but if you take your shield out and look at the shape you will see what I am talking about. You may have to grind a little off the cutouts on the shield to fit around the bushings.
