I purchased both the LED driving lamps and LED headlight for my Ultra Limited today at an Indy HD dealership.
The 4" lamps installed easily and are very nice.
The 7" headlight looks great, but I can't install it yet because the included mounting ring holes do not match up with the pre-drilled holes in the fairing.
I'm really not too interested in drilling out new mounting holes, but not sure what other option there may be.
The headlight is part no 73390-10 and is supposed to fit any '92 and later touring model, and the parts counter guy verified it would fit my FLHTK.
But, the ring does not match up.
Anyone have a solution, I'd greatly appreciate it.
I had the same problem with the 2 bulb Halogen headlight. It was a pain in the *** to drill new holes in it. Really pissed me off. I would have returned the damn thing but I got it last year as a gift and didn't have the receipt.
Hi Bill, I had just finished installing the same Led Headlight on my 07 Streetglide, although the holes didn't line up perfectly, there was enough of the hole showing that the screw could still bite through. Tonite was my first nite of driving with the new light, All I can say is "WOW" what a difference. I may have to adjust it upwards a tad, but you'll see things light up, that you never knew existed.
the holes do line up you do not have it installed right.... I went through the same thing. it will work, step back and look at it and you'll figure it out.
Ripper, you were right - they were pretty close. I started them all at the same time and then tightened them up as if I were tightening lug nuts, and the mounting ring snugged right up.
By the way, what is the brand/model of that lift you have there? It looks really nice.
