Default Spark Plugs

I use the stock H-D 6R12. Talked to HD service tech expert, I had asked about the Screamin Eagle iridium type plugs for my FLHTK- He advise NOT- having problems with those plugs on serviced bikes. He said just use HD 6R12 BUT gap at .035 instead of factory .038-.043 (.040). Said helps with pre-ignition with some of these watered down ethanol gas we find at the service stations these days. I tried it- NO problems. Works for me.

Just installed E3 plugs 600 miles or so ago, fuel knock down mileage went up a bit strange. I dont know the part number.

When it comes to spark plugs, I prefer OEM.

I went with the SE Platinums only because I can get more years out of them before they need replacing. In the long run they should be cheaper.

Autolite 4164, adjust at 5,000 replace at 10,000. $2.29 Never had a problem, don't ever carry spares and just turned 88,000 miles on her this past weekend. 45 mpg consistent.
