I'd just as soon not have the info out there. Let the trolls go shopping in someone else's garage.

Thousands of people see my tags every time I ride. I think it's silly blurring it out on the internet to prevent thousands more from seeing it.

For those of you that are worried about covering your plate because of home burglaries. Most burglaries take place through open doors and open windows. In a third of the completed burglaries, the burglar forced entry into the home; in two thirds, the burglar gained entry through an unlocked door or open window. 65% of the burglars were known to the victim. Just food for thought

And to the original point, as I've stated many, MANY times before...It's my bike (and MY pictures of MY bike and MY license plate). I'll do with them what I please.

Also, the amount of nerds that can hack the government's computers have no issue hacking a DMV database and getting info.

Identity theft is a serious problem, why risk it?
So if I was really intent on targeting people from DMV records, why would I bother going on a forum where people could be from anywhere, when I could just find a local bike (or car, or truck) and get that information.

What if you pissed off some whacko 1%'er wanna-be here on HD forums and he had your plate # from one of your photos so he could locate you, come to your home and do you, or your family members harm?

Oh, wait....nah...internet stalking never really happens, right? People never hunt down others they found on the internet and harm or kill them, right?

Uh uh....

Plenty of good points have already been made as to WHY people blank them out. Those who choose to ignore safety literally take their lives (and the safety/well being of their family) in their own hands.

As someone else already stated...."an ounce of prevention...".

BTW...you have great taste in bikes.

Black out your plate so some jackass on the internet can't figure out who you are.
Take a ride and accidentally cut some mental case off, he writes down your plate # shows up at your door late at night and blows you away. Thank God I blacked out my plate on the internet!!!!!!
SInce when did running a plate number become accessible to everyone? Thought you had to have a law enforcement connection.
