They work for me I also cut out the cat and wrapped the pipes from the heads to the Y pipe it cooled down and the bike runs great.

They seem to work fine. Im running v&h big shots and a k&n drop-in air filter with them.

Do they only increase afr for 50% of throttle

The XIED will only work while in closed loop. But what most folks don't tell you is that the stock ECM Map is plenty rich in open loop (from ~3700 RPM to limit)

See attached AFR of factory map.

Will it accommodate for a high flow a/c and slip on. Bike has factory head pipe with cat

IMO, the XIED will be enough for air and slip-ons. Will XIED be the optimal setup "NO"; will they improve the lean condition "YES".

With the cat in the head pipe your mufflers will not sound like you expect/want.

Best bang for the buck, uncomplicated, plug right in. probably run you $125 shipped ( military discount offered too).

I have on my 09 with air cleaner and slip ons. Did exactly what i wanted.
