The stock comp is what makes the other parts go bad. The startup bang from the stock comp plays hell on the starter gear and clutch basket. I have changed out the stock comp on my last 2 bikes and it is money well spent. This RKC I have now is the the smoothest running Harley I have ever owned in 47 years of riding Harley's.

 

Changed mine at the end of last season. Well worth the $$$ and effort on my 07.
It completely eliminated the start up bang, and the driveline feels better damped.
I'm positive its only good for your driveline.
