Fuel gauge popped out

Fuel gauge popped out
I was waxing my 05 RK this morning and hit the fuel gauge with my finger. Damn thing popped up out of the tank. I just put it back in and it still works fine.This ever happen to anyone else?
If it does it again is there a fix for it?
Hope it doesn't come out going down the road.

Happened to me once. In theory it should never happen from bumping it. It has several (8?) angled pressure clamps (don't know what there rely called) which hold it in. You can gently pull them out to increase the pressure of the clamps to keep it in. The key is when removing or replacing only pull straight up or push straight down to replace. Best of luck.
