Default Docking hardware install

This is for my 04 roadking to mount a sissy bar. I've searched and read alot of post on what a pain in the *** it is to mount these on Pre 08 bikes. Should I just pay the dealer for 1 hr to do it? Any tips on install?

I didn't find it at all hard. If you are confident in basic mechanical tasks I would save the money.

My 06 came with it on when I bought it, but I just removed it the other day to install some filler panels (did not really need to remove as much as I did, but found out to late), and they went back on pretty easily. I would save the labor, and do it myself.

+1 to what others have said. Just take your time and follow the directions.

Do it yourself, red the directions twice before you start then as you are going along. Read one to two steps ahead, should make it easier.

Got it all finished. Not hard but getting the bracket and two bolts was a pain on one side to line up the other just bolted right up and the rest of the hardware was easy to install. Thx for the kick in the but to save me $.
