I made the purchase yesterday. Yes they are more expensive..but hoping in the long run to make it worth the extra $$$$$. Was just wondering how many of us made the switch? Did you find it worth it?
I switched due to the fact I swapped intake with RSD model that uses the K & N.
Had SE with Football. Can't tell much difference other than look. Didn't change any of the tuning or map with the filter change and it seems to be running good.
I have a SE dry with a Dry charger cover from K&N.. No oil is the only difference...I don't think the difference in flow from SE to K&N for my type of driving will be that noticeable so i will keep the SE until it is worn out.
I had to choose other because I went with a Doherty because I wanted a Blue one instead of Red since it is exposed. Reusable and oil-able just like the K&N just a little less costly. I have been using K&N's on everything for years though and if it was not for the color this one would be to.
I've used K&N for years but when they came out with the filter for my SE Ventilator AC, I bought one and it didn't fit. Gave it back to the dealer and when they received more of them, I decided not to mess with them.
