Can't help out w/ the licks helmet, but bought a Daytona 3/4 for the wife. She likes it when it colder outside. The Daytona is a DOT and they have like 4 or 5 different molds for each size. That way you don't have that "typical mushroom
looking" helmet.
On the other hand, I wear a fulmer V-2 which has more padding, more sparkle, that I truly like and feel safe wearing. It is around $80-$100 and very comfortable.

I have a fulmer v2 as well, sits down nice and low on the head. Seems to be made for more round heads, i had to shave a bit of styrofoam out of the front for a good fit. I have never tried a daytona but have seen one and it looks like it sits nice and low as well.
