Default 103' 2011 Street glide

Had this bike 5 or 6 weeks now. Took it to have V&H true duals, Monster oval slip ons, k&n air filter and power commander 5 installed at 1000 miles. Dyno numbers were somewhat disappointing to say the least. 67.5 HP and 85 Torq. My stock 80" Fatboy was making 57 HP, My friends 2000 TC 88 stock at 67 HP. Talked to guys at shop who did work and they said they had been seeing similar figures on all the 103' bikes they'd done. 96' bikes have been around the same. For the extra $2000 msrp I would have thought it would have out done the 96" motor.

What have you guys been seeing on stock dyno runs?

Thanks!

the only dyno numbers that has ever wow'ed me was the before and after numbers involved on pro-charger installs. everything else did not have a very good HP/TQ to dollars invested return ratio.

I just got mine tuned by JD Cycleworks. I posted 86hp and 108tq. That's using the TTS Tuner and a few hours on the dyno.

A couple of things things to consider. First if you are concerned about performance why would you buy true duals? Did you have a guy who really knows what he is doing tune the bike? Lastly dyno numbers don't really mean much. Curves on the dyno chart do. The same bike on the same dyno will make different numbers on a different day. Temperature, humidity, and other factors can change those numbers. How the bike runs and pulls versus comparable bike is what counts. I ride my bikes. What they do on the road is what concerns me, not numbers on a dyno. That fuel air ratio is the most important number on the dyno to me.

Northside1 the setup was done by a highly competent wrench! Has done my buddies and my bikes for years. I went with true duals to help lower engine temp. I am not so concerned about HP. Just wondering what other people are seeing on dyno just out of curiosity, since most I read is in the 75 to 80 range. also Harley Davidson posts in the specs of the 96" torque of 95 ft/lbs. I was just kind of amazed that it put out the numbers it did. I was expecting more than a twin cam 88 is all. Could have saved $2000 and bought a 96". I too ride mine and expect it to perform well. Can't stand those spitters and poppers and plug foulers. that is why I have allowed C & C Thunder to Dyno tune mine for years

Now! Back to the original question. I just wanna see some numbers so I can figure out if HD is ripping us for the 103" motor. I rode an 80" stock Fatboy for 13 years that made 57 HP. I'm not power hungry, just wanna feel like I got what I paid for.

Thanks to all that has responded so far! BTW D2R, I could not open the link you posted. What did you see on your run?

I have the same bike. I bought my particular bike for the ABS, security, oil cooler compression releases and the 103. It is enough for me to justify the extra 2000.00. I would rather have saved the money and did the Fuel Moto 107 but I would have missed out on lots of other stuff. There is no way to win...

79.45 hp/98.21 ft lbs- afr 13.2- sae smoothing 5. The 2 into 1 exaust and Heavy Breather have worked well for me.My bone stock '08 E Glide with Big Shot Duals,Heavy Breather and SERT dynoed @ 74 hp./86 ft. lbs.Cool running motor. The 103 runs a little warmer(10 deg or so),probably a lot to do with the lowers.I'm sure you can get better #'s than what you have.Seems like biggest share of stock 103's with tuners, true duals and ac upgrade run around 80 hp/90 ft lbs.
