Hi Gang!
Anyone have an idea where I might find a (used?) volume control for the radio/intercom on my '00 Ultra?
I just took a 4400 mile trip, and somehow broke the darn thing.....probably in a panic grab for the horn button, but I'm not sure.
I took off the switch cover, and the volume controller is definitely FUBAR......a couple little pieces fell right out.
Also, if I have to buy a NEW one, can I get just the volume control, or do I have to get an entire set of left hand switches (horn, PTT, volume, Lt. signal)?
Thanks for the help!
Frank
Thanks Terry...
I already have one on order at the dealer......just the one switch, so it'll be a cheap fix. My old Yammi required the whole switch set, which was almost $200!
Frank
You can replace just the volume switch without any issues. The **** just pulls off and you should be able to have the dealer order you just the switch and you can solder the new switch on your existing wiring, or just splice the new switch in. The service manual shows a detailed set of instructions of how to splice a new switch in and where to put the splices in the housing so they don't interfere with the rest of the switches.
