Question bout stock radio on 09 streetglide

I dont know much about this stock radio, but what im trying to understand is why after riding listening to a cd or ipod on aux and coming to a stop and cutting the bike off, why when i turn the bbike back on the fm radio comes on instead of the cd or aux coming back on. is this normal? i know it isn't in cars or even after market radios. i know when after market radios do this, its because the red and yellow wire are normally backwards. i've also installed the j & m amp and speakers.

I also have the J&M Rokker set up. I don't have that problem. If you unplug the aux that is why. The stereo registers there is nothing there to play.

i never unplug the aux cable from the radio.. even when listening to a cd, i just thuck the cord. What i dont understand is why the cd doesn't come back on when starting the bike back up...

My '08 would switch to FM on startup periodically but lately it has been doing it almost every start.

My 2009 Street Glide does the same thing. I think when the CD is powered up and spinning the disc when playing but when I turn the bike off it saves where the disc is playing at but stops spinning. When the bike is powered back on the stereo has to be put back into the CD mode to spool up the CD player again? That's my best guess. It has done this since the bike was new. My car doesn't do this but my bike always has...
