Hell, I just paid the money for the integrated module. Full control from the handlebars plus integration with the infotainment system was enough to sell me. I take too many long rides across state lines to have to search for a new radio station all of the time. Well worth the cash.
If you call sirius and ask for a radio they have a mobile radio kit that has an FM transmitter on it that they will send you for free as long as you have service for 3 months with them. For the service I call and ask for the 5 months for 25.00 deal every 5 months. If you want to connect your phone with aux cable you can use a FM direct adapter that will overpower the FM signal from your antenna, and has a aux port on it. Whenever your phone is not on the regular FM radio will work then.
What options are you referring? Pandora or things of that nature? I have ran Pandora through the phone but in some places the signal drops and doesn't transmit to well Bluetooth wise.
I have been kicking this idea as well, but my ride doesn't have a AUX port in the front so I would need to either upgrade the entire component or figure out how to come in the backside with a harness or chip maybe?
Many better options.
I use Slacker Radio. It's available for free, but for $3.99 per month there is no ads, no commercials, unlimited skips, customize your artists/station, and you can load up your phone/memory card via wifi at night or when you prefer where you can listen to it later "Offline". Save on data, or listen in places where you have no coverage.
You can ban certain songs or artists, and it actually gets smarter about what your music preferences are. I really like skipping songs you just don't want to hear right then. One account can cover your whole family and all their devices. And, it Bluetooth connects with all my other vehicles.
Many options, but being a simple man, and having 2 auto on
xm/sirius for years I called about my free receiver.
After several min. I went to place my order for my free
receiver and was told that it would be 9.95 a mo. when I
took position of my free receiver. I told him I wanted the
special deal for 5/6 mo. for 5.00 a mo. NOT happening, well
cancel my order.
I may call back later and see if I get a new igit.
But for sure I am gonna call and have my auto
pay feature canceled. And let them call me about
a NEW and better rate. ......I ask my wife what we
were paying and she has no clue.....tenn
