Water drainage? Tailbone relief? Who knows, who cares?

FYI: The seams will leak water into the foam under your butt on the stock 2011 Street Glide seat.
If it gets wet you will need to take the seat off and lean it up against something so the water will drain out over night better.

I found that out already the hard way. I replaced my 2010 seat with the 2011. I could wash the bike with the 10 seat on there and ride immediately after drying the bike and I would arrive with a dry azz. However, I washed the bike with the new 2011 seat on the bike, and went for a ride 2 days later and ended up with a soaked azz.

The forward slot is for tailbone relief (that's what the dealer told me). The rear slot is for the rider backrest.

It's a good place to hold the gas cap when filling up.
