before you spend any money on tuners that are not very versatile, check out the TTS from mastertune and the PowerVision from DynoJet. Both tuners can be tuned with a dyno and both give you tools to tune it yourself. The PowerVision comes with a LCD monitor to record data while the TTS requires you to use a laptop to record data.

There's lot of debate over this, but it appears that the stage I download really doesn't make any adjustments to the air/fuel mixture. Read more here at the Nightrider website.
Thanks boogaloodude.... the article on the nightrider site was good info. Thanks for the link! Are you on the job in Wa or just bought the bike for the colors?

Rscott, I am interested in the FuelPak, but why are you selling it? It looks like you have nearly the same type of set up that I do.

Just bought a fuel pak for my 2011 SG for $225 off Ebay(brand new) a lot of the tuners are much more expensive, anywhere from $3/400 to $1000 ,I dont feel the need to spend that kinda money for just a stage1 upgrade and maybe cams and heads down the road. I rode a 96ci 07 night train for 4 years and 30k, it was a barhooper not a bagger,so no long distance runs with just the header pipes (stock)with big city thunder baffles in them and cheap *** truck tips on the ends , and a stage1 AC and never did the Download or ran a tuner and the bike ran fine ,decel poppin and all........when I traded it in the dealership checked it out thuroughly and put it on the showroom floor..................The XIED is fine for stage 1 but if your gonna do anything else(cams) youll need a tuner.

I own a 2011 S.G. and at first I want to instal an A.C. S.E. Ventilator and some good slip on mufflers but do not know wich ones actually... Cam will comes later.

Your link is very interresting, it's the first time that I read that kind of infos...

Can it be really trusted as every tech. says that we need to do "something" if changing mufflers and/or A.C?

Is someone here already test there FL-XiED and/or FL-ViED? If yes what do you think?

As I can't trust any "tuner" here in Belgium, I was thinking to go directly with a sofisticated product, the ThunderMax wich is suppose cover all mods from the start to much more important transformations without the need of a dyno...

Thanks a lot and sorry for my English, need to practice...

There are reviews on the XIED's here if you do a search.

I know I will get beat on this next statement - but I don't know of anyone personally who was overall happy with the TMAX. I know of 5 people running them and all of them have had issues with getting the autotune to work properly - it is not magic, you have to understand how to tune a bike just like you would with other products such as the Power Vision by DynoJet or the TTS. I also want to declare before the flames come that I am not bashing the TMAX - it is probably a fine product in the right hands but nobody I know who has one seems to have those right hands.
