Have an 11 SG with Fuel Moto jackpot slipons, stage 1 aircleaner, and PC -V. I want to add Fuel Moto's headpipe and get rid of the cats. My question is - will this make the bike louder?
Replacing the factory catalyst head pipe with our Jackpot 2/1/2 will give your bike more sound, it make an approx 2-3 dB difference. You will will see an excellent increase in performance as well as substantial heat reductions.
I went with the Dyno tuned slip-ons when I installed the Stage 1 but after awhile I changed to the quiet baffle. The Dyno tuned sounded great and weren't too loud but I do like the quiet baffle for long trips. The difference in power and response is definitely worth it.
you will get more sound! but the performance increase is worth it, I went with competition baffles to get even more sound, just depends on what you want.
the head pipe is a great product and the craftmanship and quality is second to none.

Bike sounds good now but more sound would be good.
I'm pretty sure a 3db increase means they would be twice as loud as they are now.
I have Rush 2.0" slipons and the stock headpipe. I wouldn't mind getting a new headpipe to get rid of the EVIL catalyst (lol), but I'm not sure I want my volume to double. I'm not sure what to do myself. Could put a quieter baffle in the slipons too, of course.
