I live between Dale's and Black Diamond H-D and still took mine to Doc's in St. Louis. Figured they build drag bikes so they had to have an idea how to tune one. Beenvery happy with the bike since.
I don't personally have any experience with Frank at Drago Bike Works but his reputation is stellar. He's in Machesney Park IL - near Rockford. He has a website: dragobikeworks.com
Frank doesnt tune bikes he takes his bikes and refers his customers to Brian@ValleyRacing in Beecher Illinois it's near the Il/In Border. He is absolutely the very best there is.

Have'nt made it there yet but Brian @ Valley Racing was also refered by Jamie at Fuel Moto as he dont do S.E. Tuners any more.
Not to resurrect an old thread but my two cents about Legacy in Effingham, Il. I bought two bikes there. Sales guy John did great. Plus one there. Parts guys are all good. Owner knows me by name. Kudos to the mechanic who took time to discuss cam/dyno tune with me.

Hey Mark5 thanks for the props on Legacy HD. The whole store has all new management and doing much better business. I know people are sceptical on going there from prior experiences but trust me if your in the area it would be worth stopping in and talking to the new guys and girls.

+1 on that. I had SE255 cams w/new bearings and pushrods installed by these guys. Stood by quoted price even though an extra part or two were missed-they didn't stick me with the cost, it was included in my quote. They picked it up and brought it back. I have a PowerVision I tune with and flashed the bike with the canned map as soon as Ryan dropped it off. I started it before ECU flash just to see how it ran-like crap of course. New map down and it ran +10 better. Couple AT runs and should be good to go. I can only hope Dustin will learn PV from DynoJet so I can have him tune for optimum for me. He is a good tech and only going to get better-its in his blood and you can hear it when you talk to him.
