Just recently bought 98 RK Classic. Bike is in mint condition- tons of extras.
One of the extras is a tach that's mounted on the nacelle. It's a Harley tach and it's in a real nice chrome housing. Was installed by dealer.
Problem is I don't know if I like it. In the short time I've had it I really haven't looked at the tach- I'm kind of leaning towards removing it- I think it takes a little away from the looks of the front end.
Looking for pros and cons to help me along.
Also an estimate of what it's worth.
For some reason can't download pic but I do have an album.
Tell me what you think.
I have a Road King and never missed the Tach after trading my 08 UC for it.
I never looked at the tach much anyway, I listen to my engine for changing gears. I don't like the Tach's that mount like your's. If I were going to put a tach on my RK, I would go with the Speedo/Tach combo. Don't know which one you have, but the book prices it at 229.00 new and 59.95 for the mount.
Should be worth half that.
Take it OFF......... You can not improve "The Look" of the Road King head light.... Leave
it alone............. just my .02................................hdman
