Can we quit calling it "vivid"?.........please?
It's not vivid, it's just shiney black, period. I just had our painter shoot my inner fairing & de-riveted front fender. When I handed him the parts I asked him if I needed to call PPG and get the paint code, he said, "no, I think Harley black is straight black". Well me, being **** like I am, called PPG and guess what the mix is? Black base! No brown, no blue, nada, just black!!!
Vivid? really? How?
Now, I've had plenty of other colors but, from now on it's only black for me. Nothing looks as good and I never tire of it. Plus, someone else said something about resale and I'd have to agree, very few don't like black.
That's interesting because my last bike was vivid black and when I bought some paint to shoot a bunch of aftermarket parts, the colors used and ratio were on the label and I know for sure red was in the mix and a couple other colors I cant remember.
You know what they say....once you go black......I have a vivid black Ultra..I kinda like it.
