Just wondering what has to be done to the original hose cover so it fits properly? Thanks in advance.

In my case I determined that the new fitting/hose assembly on the engine side was the cause of the interference. So after positioning the hose clamps to insure the screw drives were not the problem I cut the lower forward portion of the cover (appox. 1-1/4" lg x 1"h) and carefully routed the wires to insure the cover did not damage the wires. The cut is not visible unless you are laying on the ground.

jmorton10 indicated he modified new fitting, which allow enough clearance without making the cut.

2005 Ultra NC: Is your bushing suggestion done with thw Harley gage kit? Would you happen to remember what size bushing is required? It would help a lot to know in advance so I have it on hand when I tear things apart.
