I know that we're still a couple of months away but was wondering who is going on the 9-11 ride this year. With all of the recent events I am really looking forward to this years and I would especially enjoy meeting any of the forum members there.
I am heading down with a group of about 10 others. We have been riding in the Canadian ride for the past few years but decided to go BIG or go home!!! (they are both great causes)
Riding/driving up to PA on Wednesday the 17th. Me and the wife. That explains the driving. You see, she doesn't ride...not at all. No interest. Oh well, I don't necessarily like to go clothes shopping. She is however, still going to participate riding on the bus that America's 911 Foundation provides for the non-riders. I'll still convert my Ultra back to a two up because she said she MAY want to ride the day we leave from the hotel in NYC to make the ride down to ground zero. Might be 2 blocks or two miles, either way she is considering it.
There's a group of us riding down from CT and the Port Chester, NY area. One of the group has done the ride almost every year and this being the 10th anniversary it should be a good one. Just a note if you reserved rooms at the Days Inn in Somerset, PA call to verify you still have one. We found out yesterday they had "lost" some of the reservations but we had booked an extra room so our riders were covered.
I'm leaving from Daytona International Speefway on the 16th. Going to be in York, Pa on the night of the 17th. Going to try and hit the factory and tour in the morning than heading to Somerset.
