About 7 1/2 hours into changing my stock bars for some Wild Ones and I got careless and ended up breaking a terminal pin on in the last wire group I was routing through the bars...anyone know if HD sells these stupid things individually? I need to call parts but was wondering if anyone knew for sure first...
+1, they're sold individually. They use an open barrel crimp tool to attach to the wire: one crimp for the conductor/wire, and another crimp for the insulator. Some guys are able to use needle nose pliers and some solder for a solid connection, but I've always used a relatively inexpensive open barrel crimp tool to do the crimps.
Thanks for the responses guys...I was able to buy some individuals but even though I brought the harness to the dealership, the guy sold me the WRONG connectors.
That's a bummer! FWIW, I always ask the parts counter guy to see the parts book and look up the parts myself; or, if I'm not at my regular dealership, I have the guy show me the part in the parts book. Had a couple of bad experiences like the one you had, so I confirm everything myself.
