If I didn't have a tach and knowing what I know now, I would go into my map and change all the zero throttle settings from approx. 1500 to 2300 RPM. Change the zeros to 15 and road test it. Like has been said, you can go as high as 50 without any adverse effects. I would only put in enough to get rid of the pop though.

I love the scavenging sound when decelerating but I'm talking backfire and some of them loud. It's embarrassing to me.

i noticed that increasing in this range also improves engine braking a bunch. It will get rid of the deceleration pop also if that is what is causing it.

Lots of good info here. I do have a bit of decel pop as well. Like others I do not mind most of it, but I am thinking it is a little to much.

Mine came off the dyno like this.

For the record how does adding fuel as such effect overall MPG? Anyone notice a difference?

Surprisingly my decel pops seemed to of gotten worse after replacing the fuel filter at 40K. Dyno was at 30k. Had another dyno guy tell me I should of had the fuel filter replaced before the 30k dyno. Not sure if it all correlates, but it does seem to be pooping more after the new filter. Or could be I am just imagining it.

Increase your ignition timing by 5 on the ignition map on the zero column ONLY, 500 rpm to 4000 rpm.See if that helps!
