Hey folks, got an '06 FLHRCI. Can't stand the stock seat, so I tried a mustang seat, and LOVED the thing.....but I'm too damn short. It lifted me up just to make a difference, and I don't like being on my tiptoes at a stop.
I've been looking at the Harley reach seat (52609-05). It looks like it has good lumbar support, and claims to bring you a little lower and a little closer to the controls (the latter isn't really a problem). I've already got a driver backrest as well, and it looks like that works just fine with the seat.
Anyone using this seat? Thoughts on it? Any other suggestions?
I just bought the Mustang Sport Tourer and it is cut so you can sit lower & closer to the bars. It's very comfortable as well. Have you tried this one model of Mustang?
I'll have to pull the model number again and see which one it was I had, it looks very similar but mine definitely wasn't a reach version, it actually lifted me up about 1-1/2". Yours might be the best of both worlds here...
They now make a Mustang Low Down seat, Part # 79670 I would like to try it my self,
Have look.., I have the reach seat and it ok, Head a mustage seat on my V-Star and it was amazing.

I am on the short legged side, myself. Bought the HD super reach seat and it did help to make me flat footed. I felt I had more control over the bike while stopping and sitting at stop lights. But----- there is very little padding in the seat. It is great for short, local rides, but would never take it on long rides. Read alot of reviews and comments from Mean City Cycles. I sent my stock seat to them and they lowered the seat 1 1/2 inches and forward 1 inch. Best decision I made, for my ***. Now I have a super reach seat for sell. Anyone interested?
Mean City does good work. They did a seat for another bike I had and it was excellent.
I have a C&C seat now. I wanted more of a custom look. It's very comfortable and the fastback has lots of back support and drops you about 1 1/2". Its also narrower so that helps as well.
